Future Prospects



  • Approximately 65% of our department’s graduates pursue further studies in related fields (such as Physics, Applied Physics, Astronomy, Optoelectronics, Materials Science, Biology, Electronics, and Electrical Engineering) by enrolling in master’s or doctoral programs. Due to the rapid development of high-tech industries in Taiwan in recent years, especially in semiconductors and optoelectronics, most graduates from our department are able to secure suitable positions in fields such as the semiconductor industry and optoelectronics, where they can apply what they have learned. Other career paths include academic research, patent-related professions, space technology, new materials exploration, biophysics, as well as teaching positions in primary/secondary schools and higher education institutions. According to the “104i Education and Career Map,” the average monthly salary for our department’s graduates exceeds NT$60,000, while graduates with a master’s degree or higher earn an average of over NT$80,000. Overall, the career performance of our graduates ranks among the top in related fields nationwide.
